Accusing Users

Based off recent events, I’ve decided to make a blog post to clarify our policy on handling accusations in the chat.

  1. We are a help chat, meaning that our mission is to help users with their xat related questions and concerns. For that reason, the chat is meant to be a clean environment, not a toxic place where people accuse each other.
  2. Accusing users in main chat will result in a kick or ban (depending on the moderator’s discretion). It does not matter whether what you are saying is true, we will consider this type of behavior as drama and harassment and you will be punished accordingly.
  3. Staff members, under no circumstances should you participate in such activities. You are expected to help ensure that the rules are followed and users are helped.

If you would like to report anything, feel free to contact me at [email protected] or message me in the xat forum.

Clarification on the Use of Translate

Members and moderators have been overwhelming me with very similar questions regarding our new policy on the use of the translate application, so I have decided to make a blog post.

The policy says: “Moderators are encouraged to use the translate application to identify inappropriate behavior in other languages.”

Question: I have no subscriber days. Am I required to subscribe in order to keep my rank?

Answer: No. We would never make such restriction!

Question: I do not like the application icon. It ruins my on-chat appearance!

Answer: To get rid of the old-fashioned translate icon, open the application and sign out and in.
